A Sharp Threshing Sledge Isaiah 41:15 See, I will make you into a threshing sledge, new and sharp, with many teeth. You will thresh the mountains and crush them, and reduce the hills to chaff. A threshing sledge is a thick board made of razor-like metal blades that are used in the process of separating the edible part of grain or wheat from the scaly and inedible chaff that surrounds it. Through Isaiah, God told the Israelites that they would be made into a sharp and new threshing sledge that threshed the mountain and hill, not the grain or wheat. Threshing a mountain and crushing the hill implies that they would have great and supernatural power. God wants you and me to be this kind of threshing sledge. It means He has equipped us to crush mountains of problems and make hills of challenges into chaff. He will give us all the power to overcome them. The purpose of this is to reveal God’s power to this world. We have to praise God and rejoice in Him. It is not us who has this power, it is God through you. Prayer Dear God, I let Your power work in me to destroy many mountains and hills around me so that I can be Your witness to the world. Amen.
