DAY FOURTEEN – “SOFTEN ME”

Today’s Scripture Reading: 1 Peter 3:8-9

Being a “bold” Christian does not mean being an insensitive, rude Christian. We can be, we must be, bold and tenderhearted at the same time. Sound impossible? Well, maybe if we’re trying to go it alone. Fortunately for us, we don’t have to go it alone. God has filled us with His life-giving Spirit, who gives us the ability to do what we could never do on our own – the power to be bold and the sensitivity to be tender.

Take a second look at some of the words Peter uses in today's Bible reading.

· Sympathetic

· Love

· Compassionate

· Humble

Sounds like a good prayer list to me. Let’s ask God to pour out the oil of the Holy Spirit and tenderize our hearts.
