The Warrior’s Worship – Surrendering Your Career to God

Joshua stood on the edge of his first major campaign as Israel’s leader. He had the training, the troops, and the tactical plan. But before he could move forward, he encountered the Commander of the Lord’s Army. Joshua asked, “Are you for us or for our adversaries?” The answer was unexpected: “Neither. I have now come.” Joshua realized that success wasn’t about God joining his mission—it was about Joshua joining God’s.

In the military, we often measure success by rank, reputation, and readiness. We plan our careers with precision—schools, billets, promotions. But Joshua’s moment reminds us: God isn’t a supporting role in our story. We are part of His. Worship is the act of surrendering our ambitions, our security, and our identity to the One who truly commands our future.

Jesus is the greater Commander who came not to endorse our plans, but to redeem our lives. At the cross, He laid down His glory to secure ours. When we worship Him, we’re not giving up our calling—we’re giving it back to the One who gave it purpose.
