Day 4 – Empowered to Serve

Reflection:

In our culture, power is often abused — used to intimidate, coerce, or control. We see it in politics, workplaces, even sometimes in the church. Power becomes more important than doing what is right. But God defines empowerment differently. Followers of Jesus are given power not to dominate but to serve. True empowerment means humbly and sacrificially using the Spirit’s strength to bring good into the world, not evil. That’s the difference between the power our culture celebrates and the power God entrusts to His people.

Action Step:

Go to YouTube and listen to a worship song about God’s power — for example, “Break Every Chain” by Tasha Cobbs Leonard. Play it more than once this week. As you listen, pray: “Lord, help me use Your power to serve, not to control.”
