When It Gets Hard (Perseverance)
James 1:2-4
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
Devotional Thought:
Following Jesus doesn’t mean life will be easy. Challenges will come, but you're not alone in them. Trials are opportunities for growth, not signs of failure. As your faith is tested, it gets stronger. And through it all, Jesus stays with you, forming something lasting and beautiful in your life.
Reflection Questions:
- What difficulties are you facing right now that you can bring to God?
- How have you seen God use a hard time to grow your faith?
Prayer Prompt:
Lord, help me trust You when life gets hard. Strengthen my faith and remind me that You are with me in every season.
