Stronger Than Yesterday Day 2.

Do you remember when you were growing up and around three or four years old, the favorite phrase that you often led with was, ”I can do it by myself.” The only other word that beat that one was “No!” Our parents were eager to let us prove ourselves, and some days we would try and succeed, while on other days we would fail, no matter what the task was. We were experiencing our growing spurts both physically and mentally.

Well, life has not changed much in that regard. We have just grown up and changed from being under our parents' guidance to being entirely in God's care without parental supervision.

The Liberties we have become accustomed to have us repeating a familiar phrase from childhood, “I can do it all by myself.”

Isn't that the first trick of the enemy of our soul, thinking we can do it by ourselves? That our Physical strength, Spiritual strength, and Mental strength are within our ability.

The scripture says, For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:3 KJV

My friend, the confidence we have will not be based on our ability, resources, or finesse. The confident strength under which She shall sit will be a divine deposit from God Himself as She sits in His counsel. Sitting in His counsel long enough for Him to remind us of his word in

2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness. So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

I am Stronger today than yesterday!

Let Us Pray, Lord, we come to you asking for your strength to be manifest in the middle of our weakness. Strengthen our faith, our minds, and our spirits as we depend on your word and presence to be with us in our weakness. We ask for change, for fortitude and grace in Jesus’ Name, Amen
