DAY TWENTY — Building the Tabernacle

After receiving God’s instructions, Moses called the people to bring offerings for the building of the Tabernacle. The list was long—gold, silver, fabrics, wood, oil, and gems. But notice the heart behind it: “Everyone who is willing is to bring an offering to the Lord.”

God wasn’t forcing generosity; He was inviting it. The Tabernacle—the place of God’s dwelling among His people—would be built not through reluctant duty but through willing hearts. Each contribution, no matter how small, was part of something far greater: creating a space where God’s presence would dwell.

Our giving today follows the same pattern. God doesn’t need our resources, but He delights when His people give willingly, cheerfully, and sacrificially for His work. Every act of generosity—time, talent, or treasure—is a way of declaring, “Lord, I want Your presence at the center of our lives.”

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

  • How do you see your giving (of money, time, or skills) as worship?
  • What helps you give with a willing, joyful heart instead of out of pressure?
  • Where might God be inviting you to contribute to His work today?

The Promised Land

THE PROMISED LAND and Milk and Honey Productions have created this plan to help individuals and groups engage the story of Exodus and Leviticus in a fresh way. In this 30-day devotional, you’ll see clips from THE PROMISED LAND, read passages of Scripture, and reflect on questions that connect Israel’s journey to your own walk of faith. Through humor, reverence, and honesty, we’ll discover that God uses ordinary, imperfect people to accomplish His extraordinary purposes.
