Enduring Well as We Journey With Godනියැදිය

Enduring in Service
“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22–23 (ESV)
Endurance often becomes most evident in seasons of suffering. In 2 Corinthians 12, the Apostle Paul wrote about what he called his “thorn in the flesh,” something in his life that kept him humbled and reliant on God. In verse 10, he made this statement: “When I am weak, then I am strong” (NIV). Talk about a paradox! Even though it seems counterintuitive, it is in our weakness that we discover God’s sufficiency.
Endurance is not limited to physical or personal suffering but also to relationships. Marriage, friendships, and parent-child dynamics all require perseverance. True endurance means choosing forgiveness, mercy, and grace even when it is difficult.
Endurance requires holding fast to Christ’s character in love, truth, and patience. Training our children, loving our spouses, or serving in difficult situations all give us countless opportunities to reflect Jesus’ patient endurance.
Every relationship we navigate is an opportunity to model Christ’s longsuffering love. When we forgive as He forgave and remain steadfast in love, we are witnesses to the gospel’s power in tangible ways.

We throw around the word "endurance," but what does the Bible say about the role endurance plays in our spiritual lives? Do we simply grit our teeth and steamroll our way through things, or is there more to it than that? Cadence missionary Brian Kleager unpacks what Scripture says about why endurance is a key part of our walk with God.
