Trusting God in the Unknown: A 5-Day Encouragement for Special Needs Momsනියැදිය

Day 4: Creating A Life-Giving Home for the Unknown
Dear Mamas,
Have you established a family rhythm and embraced the unknown? As a family, we chose to let go and trust God to guide us. It's not easy to surrender control and simply live, especially when it concerns your child’s well-being.
My husband and I decided to prioritize quality time together as a family. Yes, we had medical appointments and therapies, which expanded over time to include physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Still, God’s Word kept our family united.
I still wake up early to enjoy what I call ‘coffee with Jesus.’ I brew my coffee and set out my journal, devotional book, and Bible on the kitchen table. I need that space and time with the Lord God every day.
I wanted that time with God. As God shared His wisdom and knowledge with me through reading His Word, I began to change. My perspective, mind, heart, and strength were being transformed.
At that time, I was reading a book titled “The Life-Giving Home” by Sally Clarkson, a seasoned Christian woman. In her book, she teaches how to create a life-giving home, just like Paul teaches in his letter to Titus, which says, “These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and be submissive to their husbands” (Titus 2:4-5, NLT).
How can I create a space where my family and friends can escape life's challenges and find refuge in our home? How can I establish a place of rest, speak life into my family, and share the Word of God with everyone who enters?
Sally mentioned surrounding your home with the Word of God! You don’t need fancy things; it can be practical and straightforward. I started typing and printing out my go-to scriptures from the Bible and placed them in picture frames.
I wanted to be constantly surrounded by the Word of God so that when I face challenging days, doubt my worth, or feel overwhelmed with the day-to-day tasks of being a wife and mother, I can renew my mind and draw strength from the Word—a supernatural strength that only God can provide.
Mama, have you created a life-giving home in your space? I encourage you to do so. It will greatly impact your life.
Your children and husband are watching; even non-believers who enter your home will be exposed to the Word. You are planting seeds for your family, your community, and beyond. God will guide you, and God is for you!
He will meet you where you are. Talk to your Heavenly Father and share your needs. Matthew 7:7 says, “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”
You’ve got this, warrior mom! God is for you and will equip you!
