Wealth and Povertyනියැදිය

Are you satisfied?
“But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.” (1 Timothy 6:8 ESV).
Paul urges his disciple Timothy to beware of false teachings on matters of faith. Heretics lead people away from the true faith. However, there are other dangers too: love of money is the root of all evil.
Some people think they can gain a financial advantage within the Christian community. A well-known historical example is the sale of indulgences, through which church leaders and governments achieved enormous financial gain. The sale of indulgences was an ingenious evil. Believers were promised a reduction in punishment for their sins in exchange for money. Not only did it deceive you about your eternal destiny, but it also cost you a lot of money.
Therefore, godliness is not a way to make money and be satisfied with it. Rather, it is an inner attitude that teaches you to be content with what you have. If God provides for you, why would you want more? Paul sees no value at all in a luxurious life. For him, a bed, a bath, and bread are enough. His heart is at rest in God. He goes to sleep at night knowing that God gives sleep to those He loves. When your heart is filled with the love of God, you are the richest person on earth.
Are you content with what God gives you?
