There’s Victory in My Praise

"After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the Lord and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang:

“Give thanks to the Lord;
his faithful love endures forever!”

At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves. The armies of Moab and Ammon turned against their allies from Mount Seir and killed every one of them. After they had destroyed the army of Seir, they began attacking each other. - 2 Chronicles 20:21-23

Magnificent Father, thank You for the victory You achieved on the cross through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank You for empowering me with Your Word and the ability to praise You. You are the King of Glory; the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord invincible in battle!

Sometimes my problems seem greater than what I can accomplish, but feelings are not always accurate. Your Word is the truth. It tells me You are greater than any problem and sovereign over every issue. With You on my side, I cannot fail. I serve a great and mighty God, who conquers every foe and makes all my enemies scatter. You've given me the victory and weapons of warfare, which are mighty in God in pulling down strongholds. Just like King Jehoshaphat's army, today I praise You first, knowing that my praise confuses the enemy. There is victory in my praise, so I lift my hands in worship to You and use my voice to shout songs of praise–even in the midst of battles!

I declare godly strength and courage within myself and my brothers and sisters in Christ. We will not fear, because You are with us everywhere we go. We have the victory, and we praise You. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, amen!
