The Revealed Will of Godනියැදිය

The Command or Prescriptive Will
The command will refer to the specific instructions God gives us. He calls us to obedience but allows us to choose whether or not to follow.
Deuteronomy 30:19 declares: “I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life.” God desires our willing and loving obedience.
A clear example of someone subject to God’s command will is Jonah. God ordered him to preach in Nineveh, but Jonah chose to disobey and flee in the opposite direction (Jonah 1:1-3). However, God used circumstances, including a storm and a great fish, to correct Jonah and bring him back into His will. When Jonah finally obeyed, the people of Nineveh repented, and God forgave them (Jonah 3:10).
This story teaches us that, although we may resist God’s will for a time, His grace and patience guide us to the right path. Our obedience is essential to experience God’s purposes in our lives.
Reflective Question: How have you responded to God’s commandments in your life?
