What a promise. The promise of heaven and eternity. Everything else fades away when we start to think about heaven. Literally nothing else can compare, and it helps us to refocus our hearts and minds every day.

One of my (Dennis) favorite Bible verses (If you can have favorites…haha) is Colossians 3:1-4, where it says “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”

Every time I read it, it re-centers my life on the ultimate goal and purpose.

During the time we released this song, our grandma was having her fight with cancer, and not long after it came out, she passed away. The words “We’re gonna celebrate, join in with all the saints” got a whole new meaning and depth to them. Because one thing is sure, our grandma was a real fighter. She had dedicated her whole life to spreading the love of Jesus through music, touring with our mother’s family around the whole world. And through the whole season of her fighting with this evil disease, she told us that she had peace and was not afraid of dying. You know why? Because she was SO sure of where she was going. That’s like the ultimate peace. Imagine having peace on your deathbed. That’s truly a peace that surpasses all understanding.
