Living with Integrity in a Broken World

Big Idea: Integrity in the last days means living in a way that honors God even when no one else is watching.

It’s tempting to wear different masks depending on where we are. The Thessalonians saw that tension too.

Paul reminded them that he lived with holiness, righteousness, and integrity among them, not to show off, but to set an example of what following Jesus really looks like.

When the world feels chaotic, shortcuts are tempting. We might act spiritual around church friends, but speak differently online. We might seek approval from whoever we’re with instead of staying faithful to God. We might say we believe the Bible, but fail to follow its teaching to treat every person as an image-bearer of God worthy of love and respect. But Jesus shows us a better way.

Following Jesus’ way means telling the truth instead of bending it, responding with humility instead of pride, and staying faithful to God’s way even when compromise feels easier.

Put simply, integrity is being honest when it costs you, faithful when the pressure mounts, and consistent when it would be easier to cut corners.

This kind of living isn’t easy, but it matters. Because our world doesn’t just need Christians who say the right things, it needs followers of Jesus who live like Jesus in every area of life.

Challenge: Ask yourself: Is there an area where my private life and public faith don’t line up? Bring that to God in prayer and invite Him to make you whole.
