When Love Feels Dry: Rekindling Intimacy God’s Way 7-Day Devotional for Christian Wivesනියැදිය

Day 2 – First Love Fire
Devotional:
Do you remember those first days of being in love? The excitement, the butterflies, the way you couldn’t wait to see each other? You probably stayed up late talking, laughed about the silliest things, and found joy in the smallest details—like holding hands in the car or sharing ice cream.
Then life happened. Jobs, bills, children, stress, and responsibilities piled on. Suddenly, what was once easy and natural now feels like another task on the to-do list. If you’ve ever thought, “Where did our spark go?”—you’re not alone.
In Revelation, God speaks to the church about returning to their “first love.” While it’s about our relationship with Him, the principle is powerful for marriage, too. Sometimes we don’t need something brand new—we just need to return to the basics. Remembering, repenting, and repeating the small acts that once came naturally.
Rekindling love doesn’t always start with grand gestures; it begins with simple, intentional choices. A smile across the room. A text that says, “I’m thinking of you.” A playful moment in the kitchen. Love often grows again when we dare to do the little things we stopped doing.
Your marriage doesn’t need to look like it did on your wedding day—but it can carry that same spark when you choose to love intentionally, every day.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of my husband and the love we share. Forgive me for the times I’ve allowed routine or busyness to dim our connection. Help me to return to the small acts of love that once brought us joy. Reignite our spark and fill our home with laughter again. Amen.
Challenge:
Do something today that reminds you of your early days together—send him a flirty text, plan a simple date night at home, or surprise him with his favorite snack. Let him know you still choose him, every day.
