Have you ever found yourself in a situation so chaotic and confusing that you didn’t know what to do or say? Maybe it felt like conflict was coming from every direction, and all you knew was that something needed to change.

What if I told you that even during darkness and confusion, the Spirit of God is present, hovering, waiting for an invitation? He’s not absent in the mess. He’s near, ready to bring order to chaos and peace to the storm. All we have to do is invite Him in.

The Spirit of God was hovering.

The Spirit of God is hovering. Everywhere that we go, He is there. He is Emmanuel. He doesn’t change. He is the same today, yesterday, and forevermore. He is hovering over us. Whether our situations look void or dark, He’s hovering. Whether our situations appear to have no form, He’s hovering. Whether it seems like complete chaos, He’s hovering. When you don’t know what to do, God is hovering.

The Spirit of God was hovering.

God is looking for someone right now who will be sensitive to His hovering Spirit. He is looking for someone who will acknowledge that He is there. He is waiting for us to see that He is hanging around us right now, trying to see if we will just call on His name. Will you call Him? Will you ask for help? He’s hovering. He’s going to hang around. He won’t be going anywhere. Go ahead, whisper His name. Jesus. Master. Savior. King. I need You! He’s there right now, hovering. The Spirit of God was hovering. Don’t ever forget that God is hovering over you. He’s waiting for your call. He’s there to protect you. In the midst of battle, remember that the Spirit of God is hovering.

Prayer:

God, thank you so much for being a very present help in times of trouble. You are Emmanuel. You are hovering over me. This brings me great joy and comfort. Thank You. Be a constant reminder of this, in Jesus’ name, amen.
