The Promise of Heaven by Dr. David Jeremiahනියැදිය

Your Mind Will Be Sharper
Erwin Lutzer wrote, “One minute after we die, our minds will be clearer than ever before. . . . Death does not change what we know; our personalities will just go on with the same information we have stored in our minds today.”[i]
I would go even further. When our bodies are glorified at the resurrection, our brains are included in the glorification process. The things that cloud our thoughts and hinder our minds will be gone.
In the world today, we’re prescribed life-saving drugs, but some of those can alter important brain functions. Some can lead to addictions that harm the brain. We’ll be free from those in heaven.
Some people have cognitive difficulties because of accidents or illnesses. I live in a military city, and I have active service members in my church. I’ve talked with many of them about TBIs—Traumatic Brain Injuries—sustained in the line of duty. Athletes can suffer similar injuries. Those will be gone in heaven!
Fatigue and chronic stress can cloud our brains, but in heaven we’ll never grow weary or stressful. Strokes and infections can harm our cognitive processes, and so can degenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. But not in heaven—because there our bodies and our minds will be completely renewed.
Some people are born with intellectual challenges, but in heaven they’ll be whole.
Sin can also taint our minds, and Satan can tempt us with his lies. But he will never be seen in the new heavens, the new earth, or the city of New Jerusalem.
Jesus told us to love the Lord with all our minds (Luke 10:27). We’ll be able to do that better in heaven than now on earth. God is very concerned about our minds. It’s a frequent subject in Paul’s epistles. He told us to have the mind of Christ; to be spiritually minded; to be renewed in the spirit of our mind; and to set our minds on things above (Philippians 2:5; Romans 8:6; Ephesians 4:23; Colossians 3:2).
We’ll be able to do all that more completely and more fully when we really are above!
Heavenly Father, thank You that all of my imperfections, whether in body or mind, will be redeemed and restored to perfection in my forever home. Amen.

Nobody likes being bored. Not at work. Not at home. Not anywhere. In our go-go-go culture, it seems like there’s never a good time to be bored. Many Christians believe heaven will be boring—that all we’ll be doing forever is strumming harps, floating on clouds, and polishing streets of gold. Thankfully, that’s not true! Let’s look at seven reasons why heaven will not, and could not, be boring.
