Meet the Promise Keeperනියැදිය

The promised Gift
Forty days after His resurrection, Jesus ascended to heaven. But before He left, He made us a beautiful promise:
“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may be with you forever; the Helper is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him; but you know Him because He remains with you and will be in you.” – John 14:16-17 NASB
Jesus carefully instructed His disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit:
“Wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” – Acts 1:4-5 NIV
This promise wasn’t just for the disciples—it is for you today! God wants to send His Holy Spirit to dwell in you, lead you, and empower you. Unlike some of God’s promises that require seasons of waiting, this one is available right now—all you have to do is ask!
“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, it will be opened. […] So if you, despite being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?” – Luke 11:9-10,13 NIV
The disciples had to wait ten days between Ascension Day and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, so friend, even if you don’t feel an immediate difference, keep asking, seeking, and believing–God will pour His Spirit out on you.
Let’s pray together:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful promise of the gift of the Holy Spirit. I ask to receive Your Spirit to lead me, guide me and help me. Just like how You poured out Your Spirit on the disciples at Pentecost, I pray You do the same for me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Hey! You are a Chamatkar (= miracle)
