Head/Heart/Hands Questions Day 2 of 30 (Matthew 10–18)
Hope you’ve listened to the Audio Bible! Now, take some time to meet with your group. Below are some sample questions to guide your conversation, but feel free to add your own too.
🧠 Head (What did the passage say?)
- What events—like Jesus sending out the Twelve (Matthew 10:1–15) or the Transfiguration (Matthew 17:1–8)—show His mission and glory?
- Where do you see examples of forgiveness, such as in the parable of the unforgiving servant (Matthew 18:21–35)?
- Which person or story best demonstrates trust in Jesus, like Peter walking on water (Matthew 14:22–33)?
- What teaching—such as “whoever wants to be great must be your servant” (Matthew 20:26–28 NIV, foreshadowed in Matthew 18:1–4 NIV)—challenges common ideas about greatness?
- How do events like the feeding of the 5,000 (Matthew 14:13–21) reveal God’s provision?
❤️ Heart (What does it mean for me?)
- Which verse—like Matthew 11:28–30—gives you rest and encouragement?
- How does Jesus’ call to mission in Matthew 10 stir your faith?
- When have you trusted Jesus in a “storm” like Peter did?
- How does Jesus’ teaching on humility in Matthew 18 change your attitude toward others?
- How does seeing God’s provision in Matthew 14 strengthen your worship?
🤲 Hands (How will I live it out?)
- Share with someone what you learned about Jesus’ mission.
- Practice forgiveness as taught in Matthew 18.
- Step out of your comfort zone in faith like Peter.
- Serve someone humbly this week.
- Provide for someone’s need as an act of worship.
