Letting Go and Trusting God

5 න් 2 වන දිනය

Sometimes, the storm in your life doesn't come from tough circumstances but rather as a result of those around you. When we look at the Bible, we see that Jonah is a good example of this. The sailors were doing nothing wrong, yet they found themselves in a storm because they were connected to someone running from God (Jonah 1). The same principle applies to us. When we’re closely tied to people who are out of alignment with God's will, we often get caught in the turbulence they carry.

These “toxic relationships” might not be bad, but their decisions and direction can bring trouble and stress into our lives unintentionally. Just like the sailors who were on the boat with Jonah, sometimes we try to row harder, throw out more cargo, or try to fix the storm ourselves instead of facing the obvious: releasing the person altogether.

Peace doesn’t always come from more effort; sometimes it comes from separation.

Remember that God is a God of peace (1 Cor. 14:33). He is not the author of confusion or drama. In other words, if a relationship in your life constantly keeps you anxious, drained, or confused, it’s worth asking yourself if that relationship was sent by God or if it's a distraction from His peace.

Now, I do want to emphasize that this doesn’t mean we cut people off coldly or without prayer. Take some time to bring it to the Lord in prayer and be bold enough to say, "This is bringing chaos, and I choose peace."

Being obedient in letting someone go may be the very decision that calms the sea in your soul.

Today's Challenge: Take some time to think about a relationship that often makes you feel anxious, drained, or confused. Ask God if this relationship is helping you follow Him or pulling you away.

Let's Pray: Lord, I desire peace in my life that comes from being aligned with You. If there is anyone in my life causing chaos because of disobedience, please give me clarity and the courage to address it as You lead me.
