"Jesus Over Everything," a 5-Day Devotional With Peter Burtonනියැදිය

Jesus Over the Enemy
All throughout Scripture, we read stories of how powerful God is over the enemy. From rescuing His people from Egypt in the book of Exodus to David’s songs of victory in the Psalms, we have a clear picture of God's power over every enemy. The reality is that we all have many enemies in life. But there is one main enemy who desires to steal, kill, and destroy, and his name is Satan. The devil and his demons want nothing more than to destroy and deceive those who follow Jesus. It’s important that we acknowledge this reality, but not be intimidated by it. We don’t have to fear what seems like a terrifying truth, because we know that Jesus is over the enemy.
“For He Who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 (ESV) There is no evil power in this world that can overtake the power of Jesus and the Holy Spirit living in you.
Do you feel under a spiritual attack today? Do you feel afraid of the enemy coming after you? Maybe your fear has caused you to feel weak and powerless. Let me remind you today to call on the Name above every name. At the Name of Jesus, every knee will bow. That means even anxiety, addiction, depression, shame, guilt, regret, illness, grief, and fear all have to bow at the name of Jesus. Claim this truth over your life today, and any time you feel under attack, call on the Name of Jesus.
