LEVITICUS 24
LAWS + PUNISHMENT REGARDING BLASPHEMY
God gives instructions for the twelve loaves of bread placed in the tabernacle, along with a lamp that is to be kept burning using pure oil.
God also provides laws regarding blasphemy, murder, and causing harm. This chapter reinforces the principle of “an eye for an eye,” which is also found in Exodus and Deuteronomy.
STUDY QUESTIONS
Have you heard the phrase “an eye for an eye” before? How does God distinguish between murder and killing?
