Who Is Jesus? 7 Days in the 'I Am' Statementsනියැදිය

Read John 11:25: Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?’
Jesus says these words to Martha, one of His friends, at a moment of real crisis. Her brother, Lazarus, has died. Jesus wasn’t there. Martha knows that if He had been, He could have healed Lazarus.
So when Jesus says that He is the resurrection and the life, it really matters. It’s an enormous claim: Jesus is saying that He has power over death, not just life and death in this world, but in eternity. Whoever believes in Him will have eternal life: even though they will physically die, they will never die spiritually.
Martha was going to see Jesus laying down His life on the cross and then rising again – His words backed up with death-defeating action. But even before she sees this, Jesus challenges her to believe.
