Heart for the House නියැදිය

"People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart." — Proverbs 21:2 (NLT)
It’s easy to convince ourselves that our actions and decisions are right, especially when they feel justified or when others agree with us. But Proverbs reminds us that God doesn’t just look at our actions—He looks deeper, at the motives of our hearts.
I once found myself frustrated in a disagreement, feeling certain I was right. Yet in prayer, God gently showed me that my attitude was rooted more in pride than truth. That experience reminded me that our hearts can deceive us, but God lovingly calls us to self-examination and humility. His desire isn’t just for right actions, but right hearts.
Today, invite God to examine your heart. Ask Him to reveal any hidden motives or attitudes that need to be surrendered. You might even journal a simple prayer, asking, “Lord, what’s really going on in my heart?”
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that You care not only about what I do, but why I do it. Search my heart today and show me where pride, selfishness, or hidden motives may be at work. Help me to walk in humility and honesty before You. Amen.

David was able to set the stage for Solomon to build the temple by providing the victories for Solomon to have peace in the land, provision, and a launch pad for the new season to come. There are lessons in this for us today! For our future generations to see victory, it will take us fighting the battles now, and generously supporting God's plans to come! Join us through 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles and be inspired by how you can be setting the next generation up for victory.
