The woman of faith: Stretches to be blessed

One day, Jesus told a man with a shriveled hand to stretch it out—and as he obeyed, he was healed. What if the man had refused? He likely would have remained the same. But his healing was tied to his obedience.

The lesson is clear: you must be stretched to be blessed.

Sometimes, God asks us to do uncomfortable things—not to shame us, but to position us for breakthrough. The man had to stretch his weakness in front of everyone, and his obedience unlocked his healing.

God uses stretching moments to prepare you for the blessing. He stretched Joseph through betrayal and prison before leading him to the palace. He stretched the blind man in John 9 by asking him to walk—blind—to the Pool of Siloam. These weren’t punishments; they were pathways to purpose.

God may be calling you to unlearn old patterns, confront fears, or release negative mindsets. It may feel uncomfortable—but it’s part of your refining. You won’t remain in your current state. God is stretching you into the version of yourself that can carry the blessing.

Are you willing to obey—even when it feels uncomfortable and humiliating? Stretch beyond your limits—and step into what God has prepared for you.

Stretch and be healed. Stretch and forgive. Stretch and try again. Stretch and ask again. Stretch and dare to dream again. Stretch and receive your blessing.

Let’s Pray:

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that Your plans for me are good. Help me to trust You when I’m being stretched. I receive the spirit of obedience to do what is required to unlock Your blessings in my life. Lead me, by Your mercy, into the beautiful place You’ve prepared for me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
