Pathways to Purposeනියැදිය

I don’t know about you, but when I’m feeling hungry, McDonalds always feels like the right choice. What I forget is the willingness of my husband to cook me something more substantial, healthy, and delicious; I lose sight of what I have because of my eagerness to eat now.
The people are hungry for change, and they’re unwilling to wait any longer for it to come. They want a king to come and fix the problem now, but they have rejected the King that is lovingly crafting them a heartier meal. When I read this passage I can’t help but ask myself, who do I want to be King of my life: the finite quick fix to my problem, or the infinite Father who loves me and knows what’s best for me?
Ask yourself today, where have I allowed a new king to enter into my life, and what do I need to change to put Jesus back on the throne?
Prayer
King Jesus, thank you that you are a King who knows me, loves me, and is always crafting the best outcome for me in every situation. Help me to trust You in the process and remember that Your ways are higher than mine. Amen.
