Dethroning King Stomachනියැදිය

🍲 Day 3: Trading Birthrights for Bowls of Stew
"Thus, Esau despised his birthright." —Genesis 25:34
Hello, Friend,
Have you ever made a decision in the heat of the moment that you instantly regretted?
Maybe it was something small, like snapping at someone you love…
Or maybe it was something bigger, like giving up on a dream because waiting felt too hard.
When Esau came in from the field exhausted and hungry, he thought only of his immediate need. His brother Jacob offered him a bowl of stew, and without hesitation, Esau traded his birthright—his inheritance, his future, his blessing—for a single meal.
It sounds almost unbelievable…
But how often do we do the same?
We trade what is eternal for what is easy.
We exchange God’s promises for momentary pleasures.
We sacrifice our destiny on the altar of comfort.
When I look back on my own life, I see moments when I made similar choices. I settled for what seemed good in the moment, only to realize later that those decisions led to destruction—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
But fasting taught me something powerful:
When we practice saying “no” to what our flesh wants now, we are actually saying “yes” to everything God has prepared ahead.
Friend, you have a birthright in Christ—a calling, a purpose, a future bursting with miracles and blessings.
Guard it. Value it. Don’t let temporary cravings steal eternal treasures.
💭
Is there anything in your life right now that feels like a “bowl of stew”—something tempting you to settle for less than God’s best?
What desires have been pulling your focus away from your destiny?
Today, invite God to help you see clearly and choose wisely.
Remember, what He has for you is always worth the wait.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, I don’t want to give up the destiny You have placed on my life just to satisfy a fleeting desire. Protect me from shortsighted decisions. Give me the strength to say ‘no’ to the temporary and ‘yes’ to the eternal. I choose to value the birthright You’ve given me and trust You with my future. Amen.
🔥 Friend, by seeking God first, you are making a powerful choice. Every time you choose Him over a craving, you are stepping deeper into your calling. Keep going—miracles are on the way!

The truth is, if we want to experience the deeper things of God, if we want breakthrough, clarity, and fresh power in our lives, we must be willing to dethrone “King Stomach.” Fasting is an invitation to do just that—to take the crown off our appetites and lay it at the feet of Jesus.
