EquipHer Vol. 16: "Living the Vision"නියැදිය

Day 3 – Vision Requires Action
"God cannot bless what we are not willing to build." – Melanie Cox
Having a vision is essential, but it’s not enough. If vision remains just an idea in our minds, it will never become reality. God calls us to move, to act, and to build with faith. The problem is that fear often holds us back: “What if I fail?” “What if I’m not capable?” “What if I don’t have the resources?” The enemy uses doubt to keep us from stepping into the fullness of what God has prepared for us.
One of the biggest obstacles to fulfilling our vision is procrastination caused by insecurity. We often wait for the perfect moment, but the truth is, there often is no perfect moment.
Habakkuk 2:2 says, "Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it." Writing down the vision helps clarify it, makes it concrete, gives us clear direction, and keeps us focused even when circumstances seem difficult.
In the world of business and leadership, having a vision without a strategy simply leads to stagnation. How many times have we heard talented women say, "I have big dreams, but I don’t know where to start?" The truth is, God gives us the vision, but He also calls us to work on it with responsibility and consistency. Without a plan, we risk wandering aimlessly, making no real progress. Vision Requires Action. We can’t just pray and hope—we must take practical steps toward what God has shown us. If God has given us a project, a calling, or a dream, He is also calling us to work on it with diligence and determination.
How to Take Actionable Steps:
- Start with prayer: Ask God for clear direction and write down key Bible verses that serve as guiding principles for your vision.
- Define your vision: Where do you see yourself in five years in these three areas?
- Faith – Spiritual growth, ministry, service.
- Work – Professional or entrepreneurial goals.
- Relationships – Family, friendships, people you feel called to impact (e.g., women, mothers, working moms, young women, etc.).
- Set three main goals in order to obtain the vision: Write them in a specific and measurable way.
- Break it into practical steps: Divide your goals into weekly/monthly actions, making them achievable with clear deadlines.
- Stay Flexible: Remaining flexible to His direction is key. Don’t wait for everything to be perfect or for every detail to be clear. Start with what you have, and where you are, trusting that God will guide your steps and provide along the way.
Prayer: Lord, I know You have given me a vision, but too often, I let doubt and fear hold me back. Help me not to stay stuck but to take steps of faith with courage. Give me the strategy and wisdom to build according to Your plan, knowing that You will provide every resource I need. Today, I choose to move forward with confidence in Your will. Amen.
