Stand Firm - Against the Schemes of the Enemyනියැදිය

Dissolve, Dilute, Deform & Demolish – TRUTH
"Did God really say...." was the opening line of the enemy in Genesis 3:1. He was described as the shrewdest, most subtle, cunning, crafty of all the wild animals. Consider this fact. God gave Adam and Eve one rule in the garden of Eden: to NOT eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil as it would cause death.
Imagine living in a world where there is only one rule. My first thought was that you have to be pretty naive to be fooled into breaking the one and only rule. So, consider Genesis 3:6, it says "The woman was convinced..."
What was she convinced about?
- Was she convinced that God was holding out on them?
- Was she convinced that God was not to be trusted?
- Was she convinced that they wouldn't die by eating this fruit?
- Was she convinced that being like God was better?
To be convinced means you have been persuaded to believe that someone was right and that someone was wrong. The devil made breaking the only rule given - look good, so the lie became their new truth.
We live in a world now that even doubts what it means to be male and female. Your Truth has become The Truth. A subjective perspective is wanting to replace a factual reality. The fruit of this replacement is higher levels of anxiety, fear, conflict, division and disunity. If I drove down a road covered in dense fog, knowing that others often chose to drive down the same road in whatever lane they felt like, this would cause major fear and anxiety in me, for obvious reasons. The Truth sets us free to live in peace and confidence.
Romans 1:25 tells us that they traded truth for a lie and then worshiped creation & creature instead of Creator. When we as human beings shift from worshipping God to worshiping self, we fulfil the scheme and strategy of the devil right back in Genesis 3, which was to deceptively trick us into believing that we could "be like god." To believe that we could be the ones who get to determine what is good and evil, what is right and wrong. This just leads to chaos, conflict and power struggles over whose truth is the right truth.
The Truth will set us free from trying to play god. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. In other words, if you want to live a life of freedom in peace, align yourself with Jesus's ways. Jesus belongs on the throne of our lives, not us.
Stand Firm against the schemes and strategies of the enemy, who will do everything in his power to destroy unity, devour your purpose, distort your identity and demolish The Truth. Be alert to his ways and hold your ground. Remember that it is not emotions but truth that sets us free.
As you finish this reading plan, I encourage you to look for a reading plan on what it means to walk in the armour of God. This would be a great follow-up to the objective of this plan, which was to expose the enemy's strategy zones so that you can become more alert to his ways.
