Day Two: Salvation
The whole idea of the Gospel hinges on this part: salvation. There would be no hope for us without salvation and a saviour. ‘Salvation’ can be defined as being saved from danger/ suffering.
Our salvation from our sins and the gift of eternal life come from Jesus. The Old Testament promises of a Saviour to take away our sins and brokenness were fulfilled by Jesus Christ’s death on the cross as a sacrifice to cover our sins. He became sin so he could defeat it once and for all, which he did when he died and rose again. We gain salvation through our belief and faith in Him and Him alone. No one or nothing else has the power to save but Jesus.
