Mighty God

Christmas is a wonderful time of year, but it can also be sad and stressful for many of us. Maybe you have lost a family member and miss them acutely this Christmas season. Or maybe your life has undergone drastic changes, and you miss the way that Christmases used to be.

I want to remind you today of an ancient prophecy about the first Christmas. It’s the prophet Isaiah, who declared…

“For those who live in a land of deep darkness,

a light will shine.”

He was talking about Jesus. And he said,

“...he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

I want to remind you today that if your life feels sad, chaotic, and dark, you don’t have to go through it alone.

Will you ask Jesus to come into your heart today? Ask Him to be the Lord, the Mighty God, and the Savior of your life.
