Financial Discipleship – the Bible on the Poorනියැදිය

Moment of Prayer
Lord, I need Your guidance. Show me how to get my hands dirty by serving the poor in a way that honors You. Show me how to be an encouragement to the poor that You’ve created me to be.
Give me a pure heart. May I see that Your angels in disguise are among the poor. May I love them just as much as I love myself. May I love them the way You love me and all Your children.
We cannot buy our salvation. No amount of money or possessions impresses You, Father. Rich pockets turn to ashes. But a rich soul reserves a mansion in heaven (James 2:5). So, move in my heart that I seek out the needy, advocate for them, defend them, and protect them (Proverbs 31:8-9; Isaiah 1:17; Jeremiah 21:12).
Move in my heart, as Job said (Job 30:25), that I look for ways to serve them, give to them, and help them (Proverbs 29:7). Because when I was lost, You came searching, running, chasing after me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
