Worship Through Advent: A Seasonal Devotional for Your Worship Ministryනියැදිය

Worship with Hope
When you lead worship, you hope for a lot of things. You hope the songs resonate with the people. You hope the church sings loud. You hope the band does their best (and arrives on time). Hope is central to what you do. But inside all these hopeful thoughts and feelings, there is another hope that must remain at the forefront of your mind, heart, and hands during this Advent season. Remember the hope of Christ that has been entrusted to you. On the platform and in the quiet corner of the hidden room, Christ’s hope lives in you. In the well-crafted kind words to a friend and in the spontaneous angry rant to a stranger, Christ’s hope lives in you. If you follow Jesus, then He has already entrusted you with His hope. And His hope is living hope. The hope of Christ is great enough to heal, restore, and set the tone for the season ahead. So, pause today (alone or with your worship team) to remember the hope of Christ in you. When you do that, you open your mind, your heart, and your hands to receive what you’ve always hoped for—the nearness of Jesus…the Hope of the World.
