This Easter Week....The Crown That Speaks

DAY 7 OF 7

I CAN’T FATHOM IT ALL

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-10

As we conclude today's study on the ‘Crown That Speaks,’ I try to digest all our Savior endured, and this thought comes to mind: “I can’t fathom it all.” I wonder if this is the correct word to use, so I look into the meaning of fathom.

It is an Old English word, derived from faethm, meaning,” outstretched arms.”

Generally, it references a measure, a depth of six feet. Originally, this measure was done from outstretched arms, measuring from fingertip to fingertip! Are you getting excited yet? I sure am! The measure was taken straight across the body from fingertip to fingertip. Other meanings are to allow the truth of something to penetrate or to comprehend something.

I desire that we all penetrate this truth into our spirits, for Jesus willingly stretched out His arms on that cross and bore it all out of love that no man be condemned; “For God So loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17

Yes, that Crown of thorns He bore was represented in mockery, the King of the Jews. Revelation 14:14 tells us that Jesus will take on a new crown as He reigns forever as our King! Ephesians 1: 21-23

EASTER TAKEAWAY: If you have not accepted Christ as Savior, I encourage you to do so at this moment, for it is an eternal decision. Happy Easter!

PRAYER: Father, My prayer is for those reading this devotional and those who deny our Lord. May we who know Him take up the cross and continue to spread the message for the One who wore the ‘crown that speaks.’ In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Day 6

About this Plan

This Easter Week....The Crown That Speaks

Although the crown of thorns was meant as a mockery, it symbolizes that Jesus truly is the King of the Jews and King to all who believe in Him! It represents not only His suffering but also eternal victory! If we allow it to minister to us, it will turn Easter into more than an annual observance but a daily walk of awe and reverence for our soon-coming King!
