Helmet of Salvation

“Wear your helmet!” is a phrase you’ll hear moms and dads shouting into a cul-de-sac full of kids circling on bikes and scooters in the middle of a summer day. While you can purchase protective gear for many parts of the body (knees, elbows, etc.) the helmet is often considered the most important piece, as it protects the precious brain. Just the same, our salvation is of precious importance. As Christians, we must maintain the eternal perspective and weather the storms of today, because we know the promise of tomorrow through salvation in Christ. The knowledge of our eternity helps us maintain a focus on what is most important, even as we face the day-to-day pressures of work.

PRAYER: King Jesus, thank you for the precious gift of salvation. Holy Spirit, be at work within me, keeping me focused on eternity and the Kingdom.
