What Do I Do? Live in Victory

IF YOU READ the rest of the book of Revelation, you will see the climax: a great and righteous King taking His throne and making all things new in a new heaven and earth with no sin. We can be confident that this is what will happen in the future. How should this knowledge affect how we live now?

We should live like the future has already happened. God will one day make all things new, but this process has already started in us. Therefore, we can live in victory over sin through the power and hope of His Spirit, knowing that He has already accomplished the victory and that the soon and coming King is on His way. This idea appears throughout the New Testament again and again.

Here’s one way of looking at it: If you knew the war had already been won by your king, how would you fight each battle? Have confidence in Christ, believer—He is that King!
