Old Testament Overviewනියැදිය

This is a tragic passage and moment in Israel's history. The remainder of the books of Kings record Israel's descent into rebellion, with the prophets speaking God's word to the kings and the people: calling them to repentance and stating God's judgment: both kingdoms will be removed because of sin and rebellion.
After reading the passage use these questions as the basis for your discussion.
1. What stood out for you / what was interesting and why? (The Holy Spirit’s prompting)
2. What was the passage about / the main message / big idea? (The Word of God)
3. What should we do / how can we apply this message? (Faith in Action)

This plan is designed for families (our girls were under 10 when we used it); it can also be used for personal devotion. Each day uses the same 3 questions to explore the text. The plan provides a comprehensive "bird's eye view" of the Old Testament; the aim is to understand the first phase of God's salvation plan through the Covenants (relationships) which He established with His people.
