Here are a few steps to help you get the most out of The Bible Recap:

1. Before you start The Bible Recap, I recommend watching or listening to our six Prep Episodes to set you up for success! They’re short—about an hour for all 6—and they each have a different set of pro tips for you! These are really helpful even if you’ve read through the whole Bible before, but they’re especially helpful for first timers!
2. Pray through the 5 prayers below before you start reading.
3. Any time we start a new book of the Bible, take a few minutes to watch the animated Book Overview video we’ve linked to BELOW the 5 prayers. It’s most helpful if you do it before you do your reading.
4. Read that day’s assigned chapters of Scripture.
5. After reading the chapters, come back to this “Devotional” tab to watch The Bible Recap video with me, Tara-Leigh. You’ll find that video BELOW the 5 prayers.

And here are those 5 prayers now. I encourage you to pray these every day before you read, so they’ll always be in the Devotional tab as we begin each day’s reading.

1. God, give me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
2. Let any knowledge I gain help me love You and others more, and not puff me up.
3. Help me see something new about You that I’ve never seen before.
4. Correct any lies I believe about You or anything I misunderstand.
5. Direct my steps according to Your Word. Amen.
