Day 3: The Courage to Change Your Huddle
Today we'll discuss a challenging aspect of life as we grow older – the courage to evaluate your huddle and make the necessary changes.
Let me share a personal story from my football career. Playing for the University of Oklahoma (OU) was a dream of mine, a privilege I deeply cherished. However, it's essential to note that nobody would have expected me to walk on at a school like OU, given my modest high school career. Yet, I pursued this dream and even earned a letter. I was a small kid who grew up idolizing and yearning to be a part of the University of Oklahoma.
But after much prayer, quiet reflection, training, and advice from teammates, I realized that I needed to find a huddle that wanted me and needed the skills I had to offer. It was one of the most challenging decisions I ever made, but I felt a profound sense of peace about it.
If you find yourself at a point in life where you're reevaluating your huddle and contemplating the need for change, remember that you have the power and courage to make those necessary adjustments. Sometimes rearranging the pieces of your huddle can be a transformative process.
I pray that you find the courage to make the necessary changes, just as I did when I sought a huddle that better aligned with my purpose and abilities.
With the right huddle around you, the possibilities for change and growth in God's kingdom are limitless.
