I love how God constantly reveals His character throughout the Bible and this passage of scripture is no exception. God is telling us that He wants to give us the wisdom to make the right decisions. All we have to do is ask! However simple that may seem, there are two challenges presented in these verses that some of us may run up against. First, is the challenge of asking. Maybe you’ve grown up having to depend on yourself and your natural response in relationships is being independent. Others may find themselves willing to reach out to God but struggle with having the confidence that He will really come through on His promise. Rest assured that God is who He says He is. God makes us a promise in this scripture that He will give us wisdom if we ask—we just have to initiate the ask and believe that He is faithful to respond like He says He will!

Prayer points:

• Ask - Take a moment today and ask God for wisdom. This wisdom will help us when we need to have those difficult conversations, navigate our relationships, parent our children, pursue our dreams, and make decisions that honor God.
• Believe - Now that you’ve made a request to God, believe deep down in your heart that He can and will respond to you!
