The Greatest Helper, the Holy Spirit Guides, Strengthens and Comforts Believersනියැදිය

The Holy Spirit gives wisdom to defend your faith.
“Do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” (Luke 12:11-12)
The Lord Jesus had warned His followers that they would face opposition. Jesus Himself was constantly harassed with loaded questions, suspicions, and false accusations. He was eventually arrested and had to give account to religious and political leaders. The same would also happen to Jesus' followers if they were His witnesses. And indeed this happens in the book of Acts. Men like Peter, Stephen, and Paul were dragged before courts again and again. But Jesus gave His disciples a promise specifically for these severe trials. The Holy Spirit would put the right words in their mouths. So they didn't have to worry about exactly what to say. They only should be prepared to defend—and that also goes for us! In 1 Peter 3:15 we are encouraged not to be anxious or confused when we have to give an account of our faith but to be willing to testify. We may then have to suffer for Jesus' sake. But the Holy Spirit will give us the strength for that too.
Do you worry how to answer when someone asks you questions about your faith—be it friendly or offensive? Then know that the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say!
