The Last Apostle | John 12: Glory to Godනියැදිය

John 12:37-50 brings to a head the different ways people respond to Jesus. Some won’t believe despite all the miraculous signs (John 12:37). Some believe, but are afraid and divided in heart (John 12:42-43). Elsewhere Jesus describes these different kinds of responses with different types of soil, sower, and seed. Jesus doesn’t want anyone to stay in darkness (John 12:46). The stakes are high. Judgment or life (John 12:47-50). How will you respond? What kind of dirt are you?

Near the end of his life, John was the last of the living apostles and wrote a story about Jesus. It’s his testimony of who Jesus is, what he said, what he did, and who he claimed to be. Jesus has a story. He invites us to make it our story. When we make Jesus’s story our story, we have life in his name. This plan focuses on Jesus predicting his death in John 12. It is part of an ongoing series through John.
