I love the picture of verse 9: Jesus, in His full humanity, rejecting the evil offered to Him and turning towards righteousness, and God the Father anointing Him with joy! I can only imagine the delight of the Father as Jesus walk and lived here.

Hebrews is a beautifully written visual aid for us. We live in 'the time in between the times.' Jesus has come once and will come again. But until then, we wait. That waiting often needs inspiration. Hebrews offers that encouragement. Through verbal pictures of a heavenly tabernacle to stories of real lives found in scripture, Hebrews spurs us on. Let's allow these first 6 chapters to inspire us!
