Pastor How to Read Lukeනියැදිය

I am reading the Gospel of Luke 1:17,
17 He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”
Let’s reverse engineer this verse...
The end game is to ‘make ready a people prepared for the Lord’. Our end goal is not just to have a big crowd but a church who is ready and prepared for the Lord. John the Baptist prepared a people for the first coming of Jesus. We are to prepare a church ready for the second coming of Jesus.
Note this – a church ready and prepared for the Lord is a church whose hearts are turned to the children.
We need the spirit and power to turn the hearts of the fathers and the disobedient. All our persuasion, love and care may not be enough. Leaders, sometimes you need to move in the spirit and power of God.
