Prayer & Perseveranceනියැදිය

In this last section, we see that the believers were not only emboldened in their witness and unified, but they were also generous with all that they had. This isn’t the first time in the book of Acts where the believers showed remarkable generosity, and it won’t be the last example in the New Testament.
What is it about experiencing God’s presence that makes us generous? Maybe it’s a reorientation for us of what’s important, or maybe it’s recognition of how generous He is with us, or maybe it’s something else entirely. Whatever the reason may be, we as God’s people should be generous.
We are set apart and no longer play by the rules of the world, which tell us that certain things are essential to be successful in life. We have been changed completely and how we live reflects that change. When the world holds on to what it has, our generosity and willingness to give up everything shows that we have been transformed.
In what ways can we be generous? Is there something you have been withholding from the Lord that He is asking you to give to Him? How else does this passage encourage you?

What happens when God’s people pray? How ready are you to stop what you are doing and minister to someone in need? Or to justify the way you live to others? How about when situations are difficult? How do we respond? In this study, we’ll dive into a story in Acts to see how God worked in an unexpected situation and how it applies to us today.
