My Responseනියැදිය

Choose Liberty
Freedom is highly valued.
Everyone wants to be free. Nobody wants to be oppressed or be a slave, either economically or politically. And yet, Romans 6 says that we are all slaves. We are either slaves to sin or slaves to righteousness. Those who are slaves to sin cannot free themselves and need the freedom that Christ Jesus gives through His death and resurrection. If we believe in Christ Jesus and the salvation He offers, we have been set free and no longer have to earn our own way to God.
Freedom from the penalty and power of sin leads us to be slaves of a different kind: slaves to Christ and righteousness. Although it seems like a contradiction, the only true freedom in Christ comes to those who are His slaves. Paul in Galatians reminds us to stand firm in the liberty that we have received and not to get entangled again under the yoke of sin and its bondage. To stay firmly rooted in our liberty is our choice, our decision to make each day.
Are you free?
Lord I choose to believe in you and live in the freedom I have in you, I pray.
