Exploring Thriving Through Ephesiansනියැදිය

In the following 14 days, we will be able to get a picture of the deep love this spiritual father (Paul) has for the group of believers in Ephesus. He wants to lay out all they will need to walk in a worthy way. He wants them to thrive with Jesus and through the power of the Holy Spirit. He knows that life is a long journey and we need help to live well. Join with the church in Ephesus in being encouraged by the Apostle Paul.
In the opening of this letter from Paul, he wants us to understand who we are. Not who we've been told that we are. In verse 13 he identifies that his readers "believed in Christ", had become Christians, and had been adopted as sons and daughters of God.
Slowly read through the descriptors: chosen, holy, blameless, adopted, loved, predestined, redeemed, forgiven, and included. Read through them several times to allow the Spirit to speak to you. All past tense, all accomplished for us.
Verse 12 explains that God's purpose was to bring praise and glory to Himself. You bring God praise and glory. You and me. Amazing.
Which of the descriptive words from this passage spoke to you about yourself? What is the Spirit saying to you about yourself?
How do you see evidence of the Spirit's work in you?
