Follow and serve Me.
This is the eternally true version of the saying, “You can’t have your cake, and eat it too.” We can live for eternity or for this life, not both. We can serve God or material wealth, not both. We live for God or for ourselves, not both. Jesus modeled this. It turned out great for Him in eternity but not so well in this life. Follow His example. It turns out well in the end.

Our lives should be characterized by what Jesus commanded and as His followers we should be getting others to love (and thus obey) Him as well. This is not optional or for extra credit. It is the very essence of what it means to be His follower. "...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you..." This is what Kingdom Living is all about.
