LIVING TO PLEASE Do you sometimes find it hard to do the right thing? Read 1 Peter chapter 1, verses 13 to 15, if you haven’t already done so. See if you can find these six words (or words that mean the same thing) in the Bible verses: · Alert · Hope · Christ · Holy · Desires · Obedient What does it mean to be ‘holy’? In verse 15, Peter says that we are to be holy people and that God is holy. That means we are to be like God! But how is that possible? Does it mean letting God help you to live in a way that pleases him? Or does it mean really trying to do what you know is right? Or both? Pray. Decide in your mind to please God.
