Psalms 43

1 # Ps 43 Many Hb mss connect Pss 42 and 43 Vindicate me, God, and champion my cause

against an unfaithful nation;

rescue me from the deceitful and unjust person. # 43:1 Ps 5:6; 26:1; 35:24

2For you are the God of my refuge.

Why have you rejected me?

Why must I go about in sorrow

because of the enemy’s oppression? # 43:2 Ps 42:9; 88:14

3Send your light and your truth; let them lead me. # 43:3 Ps 36:9

Let them bring me to your holy mountain,

to your dwelling place. # 43:3 Ps 2:6; 46:4; 84:1

4Then I will come to the altar of God,

to God, my greatest joy. # 43:4 Ps 26:6

I will praise you with the lyre,

God, my God. # 43:4 Ps 33:2; 57:8

5Why, my soul, are you so dejected?

Why are you in such turmoil?

Put your hope in God, for I will still praise him,

my Savior and my God. # 43:5 Ps 42:5,11
